Lifetime performance update: September 2017

Joel · 2017-09-12 · Performance

After bouncing back to form yesterday with 11/1 winner Dschingis Secret at Chantilly, the timing seems right to update our lifetime performance section, which contains our lifetime profit, loss and ROI.

We're up 136pts since July 2015, with an average return of £1.20 per £1 staked.

Here's a brief summary of our all-time tipping history:

2015: +105.44pts profit, £1.59 ROI
A huge year which included an 85/1 winner in Arabian Queen and a whopping ROI of £1.77 on the flat. ROI over jumps finished up at a very respectable £1.08.

2016: +6.38pts profit, £1.02 ROI
In contrast, and despite turning a profit, 2016 was much tougher. ROI on the flat was still a healthy £1.09 with notable wins from Harzand in the Derby and Almandin in the Melbourne Cup, but our liking for long-shots coupled with a favourite-friendly Cheltenham Festival saw us return 96p for every £1 staked in the jumps season.

2017 so far: +22.57pts profit, £1.14 ROI
One For Arthur's memorable win in the Grand National as well as Tea For Two's 18/1 Grade 1 success at the same meet ensured a flying end to the jumps season and our best ROI to date of £1.10. The flat season started with a bang with Vivlos winning at 25/1 in Dubai before Wings Of Eagles won us the Derby at a whopping 40/1. With a few months left in the flat season and big meets like Arc day at Chantilly, Champions Day at Ascot and the Breeders' Cup at Del Mar, we're currently up 15pts with an ROI of £1.16.
