This is a high class renewal with plenty of exciting types. It probably represents Emily Upjohn's best trip as she was outstayed over further last time out, but she has such an in and out profile that any time she's top of market I like to take her on. Opera Singer is the horse with the most potential to go on in this field and could be a real Arc filly for the Autumn but the bookies are never going to let her go off a big price because of connections. I suspect the 1,000 Guineas winner ELMALKA has a better chance than her odds suggest with this extra distance seemingly well within her compass. She won at Newmarket by staying on strongly and looked outpaced on the quick ground at Ascot when a creditable fourth from a bad draw. Her run style will suit Goodwood where it pays to be patient, and provided she does stay the trip I suspect she'll be finishing strongly. She gets the 3yo allowance which puts her bang there with the best of these on ratings and 9/1 is a big price.
