Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data twopointswin ("we", "us") collects, why, and what rights you have. We keep it deliberately short and try to collect as little as possible.

Who we are

twopointswin is a horse-racing ratings, prediction and tipping website. For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the data controller. You can reach us about anything in this policy at privacy@twopointswin.com.

What we collect

• If you join our free email list: your email address, an optional first name, the email topics you chose to receive, your confirmation that you are 18 or over, and a record of your consent (the date, your IP address and browser) so we can show it was freely given.
• If you are an administrator who logs in: your username and a session cookie that keeps you signed in.
• When anyone visits the site: our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, pages requested, referring site, browser) to run and secure the service and to understand overall usage. We do not use advertising or tracking pixels, and our usage analytics are generated from these server logs rather than from cookies.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To send you the emails you asked for (house tips, daily bulletins, P&L reports, site news) — on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Marketing & offers (optional). Only if you separately opt in, we may use your email address to show you relevant twopointswin advertising on third-party platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google, including creating "custom" and "lookalike" audiences. To do this your email is shared with those platforms in a hashed (obscured) form so they can match it. This is on the basis of your consent and is off unless you choose it.
• To run and secure the website (server logs, spam/abuse prevention) — on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating a safe, working service.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site, and only for that purpose:

• Our email provider (currently Resend), which sends the emails on our behalf.
• Our hosting provider, on whose servers the site and its data run.
• Advertising platforms (e.g. Meta, Google) — only if you opted in to marketing, and only your hashed email, as described above.
• If we introduce paid memberships in future, payments will be handled entirely by a regulated third-party payment provider (for example, Stripe). We will not process or store your card details ourselves.

How long we keep it

We keep your email-list details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them; if you unsubscribe we keep a minimal record of that so we don't email you again by mistake. Server access logs are kept for a short period (around 90 days) and then rotated away.

Your rights

You can, at any time: access the personal data we hold about you; have it corrected or deleted; restrict or object to how we use it; ask for a copy in a portable format; and withdraw any consent you gave. The quickest way to change or stop your emails is the unsubscribe and manage preferences links at the bottom of every email you receive from us, or you can email privacy@twopointswin.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
